You can create ads in Albanian, Arabic, Belorussian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malay, Maltese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian or Vietnamese!

Over 70% of impressions are served to English-speaking audience. But if your advertising campaign is the only one for your language, you can set a really low daily budget to get all the traffic of that language.

Tip4Commit - the first Bitcoin-related project at Rails Rumble 2013

We took part in 48-hour Rails Rumble 2013 contest and developed Tip4Commit.com - a web-service that motivates people to contribute to open source projects hosted at GitHub.

Tip4Commit.com doesn't require user registration. Anybody can choose any open source GitHub project and donate any amount of bitcoins to it.

Each donation pays for tips during 30 days. Each commit accepted by project maintainer will be tipped.

We use the following method to calculate the size of the tip:

1. <should be spent by time> = <time elapsed since donation> * <donation amount> / <30 days>
2. <tip amount> = <should be spent by commit time> - <has been spent by commit time>

If we don't know recipient's Bitcoin address, we send him/her an email with a unique link that allows to specify it. Alternatively developers can sign in via GitHub, but it is not required.

Tip4Commit.com is the only (and probably the first?) Bitcoin-related project at Rails Rumble.

Withdrawals and deposits are not working currently. Please don't worry, they will be processed later. Sorry for inconvenience and thanks for your patience.

Scaling up

We have deployed 10 servers to deliver ads with a minimal latency. We will add more servers if needed to handle increased load and ensure quality of service.

Changes in fees, withdrawals and referral payments

We reduced and simplified fees. There is no 20% deposit fee and no withdrawal fees anymore. We take only 20% of advertisers' expenses as fees.

E. g. if advertiser's daily budget is 0.01 btc, then we send 0.008 btc to publishers and take 0.002 btc as a fee.

If advertiser registers a goal of 0.01 btc, then we send 0.01 btc to publisher and charge additional 0.0025 btc as a fee.

Thus no matter how advertisers spend their money, our cut is 20%. And we share a half of it with publishers that refer advertisers.

Our referrers don't get 10% of deposits from referred advertisers anymore, but they get half of the fees collected from them daily. That is about the same amount unless advertisers decide to withdraw unspent funds.

Yes, advertisers can withdraw unspent funds now.
